Douglas's Story
Went to Indiana State for 3 semesters but hated it. Transferred to IU and knew I was home. Married Terry Hapner in '67 and went to IU Law School after graduation. Graduated law school in '72 and went to work for the Ohio Attorney General, then returned to Bloomington where I was a deputy prosecutor, then opened my own office. Divorced in 1980 and lived with a friend who owned a nightclub. (Ever hear of "Oscar...Expand for more
s?"] Had a blast for a few years but knew I was burning the candle at both ends. Married my wife Rhonda in 1989 and remain happily married. Our daughter is a sophomore at IU. I've been the magistrate for the Brown Circuit Court in Nashville since 1991. We live in northern Brown County. If any former classmates visit Nashville, come up to the second floor of the courthouse and reintroduce yourself to me!
